This page will provide a brief overview of our school and our general philosophy toward education.
Jeffrey-Spencer was originally constructed in 1966 to consolidate
students in grades one through eight from the communities of Hewett and Jeffrey, West Virginia. Jeffrey-Spencer is one
of 10 elementary schools in Boone County. Upon promotion to the sixth grade, students attend Madison Middle School.
Mission Statement
Jeffrey-Spencer Elementary accepts the responsibilty and the accountability to create
conditions that produce both quality and equity in student achievement. We will provide high quality educational experiences
that ensure success for all students.

We have an experienced and dedicated group of
teachers and administrator. Each teacher strives to create a supportive and challenging classroom atmosphere to encourage
students to participate. Our staff is made up of eight full time teachers, one principal, four paraprofessionals,
one Appalread Reading Coach. Our principal, teachers and paraprofessionals are highly qualified according to state and No
