     We have now completed the study of the alphabet. Through the end of the year we will review the letters and focus more on numbers.  Boys may still bring one item for  show-and-tell on Tuesdays and girls on Wednesday. You may want to make a game of looking for things that are a particular shape or begin with a particular letter.  Remember, anything that resembles a weapon is not permitted. 
     We will not be coming to school next Monday, May 12. Instead, we will meet at the Madison Animal Hospital  at 10:00 a.m.   You will need to park on the parking lot across from the Madison Volunteer Fire Dept.  It is where we parked when we visited the fire station.  You will then need to cross State Street to get to the animal hospital.  We will also go to the Coal Heritage Museum on Main Street in Madison.  The students should wear their blue  t-shirts.  
     Next Tuesday is Election Day, so there is no school.  Wednesday and Thursday our class will come to school in the afternoons, because our room is needed in the mornings while students are taking the WESTEST.  Preschoolers will come to school at 12:30.  They will eat lunch as soon as they arrive.  They will be dismissed at 3:30.  We will go back to our regular schedule on May 19.
